In the summer of 2019, Franklin Regional held a groundbreaking ceremony to begin a comprehensive renovation and construction project to develop what will become the Franklin Regional Elementary Campus. Since that time, learning spaces at Sloan Elementary have been transformed into more vibrant, technologically-rich, multi-functional instructional areas that will give our youngest students a safe environment to learn and play. Sloan, to be renamed the Franklin Regional Primary School, will soon become the new home for all of the district’s students who attend kindergarten, first, and second grade.
Franklin Regional Intermediate School is being constructed from the ground up and is also well underway. Thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse learning needs of 8-11 year-olds, the Intermediate School features innovative instructional spaces to broaden academic opportunities and cultivate student creativity and expression. Heritage, Newlonsburg, and Sloan students that will be advancing into Grades 3 through 5 will join together to become one unified school community.
