Medical Exam Notice for Current Gr. 5 Students

Medical Examinations, as required by Pa. Code 23.1, must be provided on original entry to school (Kindergarten), in Grade 6 and Grade 11. To fulfill this requirement, parents may turn in a physical exam for their child up to one year prior to the start of grade 6. CLICK for more information and to access the "Physical Exam Form."

Kindergarten Registration for 2021-22 (March 1 - April 30)

The Franklin Regional School District looks forward to welcoming parents of preschoolers and providing opportunities for them and their children to become familiar with district staff and the overall kindergarten program. The official registration window opens on March 1, 2021 and lasts through April 30, 2021. Kindergarten students enrolling for the 2021-2022 school year will be the first class of students to enter the newly renovated Franklin Regional K-2 Primary School.

FR K-2 Primary School Video Tour

In the summer of 2019, Franklin Regional held a groundbreaking ceremony to begin a comprehensive renovation and construction project to develop what will become the Franklin Regional Elementary Campus. Since that time, learning spaces at Sloan Elementary have been transformed into more vibrant, technologically-rich, multi-functional instructional areas that will give our youngest students a safe environment to learn and play. Sloan, to be renamed the Franklin Regional Primary School, will soon become the new home for all of the district’s students who attend kindergarten, first, and second grade.

FR Intermediate School Video Tour

Franklin Regional Intermediate School is being constructed from the ground up and is also well underway. Thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse learning needs of 8-11 year-olds, the Intermediate School features innovative instructional spaces to broaden academic opportunities and cultivate student creativity and expression. Heritage, Newlonsburg, and Sloan students that will be advancing into Grades 3 through 5 will join together to become one unified school community.

Newlonsburg's 2021 SOUP-er Bowl Challenge

The Newlonsburg Student Council is sponsoring its annual classroom "SOUP-er Bowl Challenge." This year's collection will support the Westmoreland County Food Bank. Please help if you can! The drive runs February 1-5, 2021. We'll announce the winning classroom sometime during the week of February 8th!

Elementary Report Cards finalized February 8, 2021

The close of Quarter 2 is Tuesday, January 26, 2021. The eSchoolPLUS Home Access Center will remain open during report card processing so parents may view preliminary attendance (K-5) and grades (Gr. 3-5). Report cards should not be considered finalized until they are released in the eSchoolPLUS on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. Virtual K-6 Camp Invention: Summer 2021

Virtual Camp Invention is being planned students in Grades K-6 for the week of June 14-18, 2021. This year's program will be offered as an "at home" experience and led by local educators. Franklin Regional is launching a "Did You Know?" informational series to periodically share out facts and information of importance to our students, staff, and families. The first news "tidbit" features information relative to cleaning processes used in our facilities using the Bactronix "Bactronizing Process."
